Hi, I’m Ester—owner of Little Aussie Photography, based in Gaylord and serving all of Northern Michigan. I’m the one with the funny accent, specializing in senior, family, and couples photography. I’m not just your photographer—I’m your personal hype girl, confidence booster, and professional memory-capturer.

Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, I moved to Michigan 14 years ago for love (yes, really). My husband, John, and I started as pen pals—I followed his letters across the ocean, and the rest is history. We’ve been inseparable ever since.

Before photography became my full-time career, I was a K–3 Math and Reading Interventionist. But once I became a mum, everything shifted. Motherhood changed my perspective and reminded me just how quickly time moves—and how important it is to hold onto the moments that matter.

I’ve always had a camera in my hands (high school me never went anywhere without one). Now I get to capture milestones, seasons, and stories in a way that feels real and meaningful. Being the winner for  Best of Northern Michigan Community Choice in Photography for three consecutive years (2023-25) is something I’ll never take for granted—it’s a reflection of the incredible seniors and families who trust me with their memories.

My why? My two amazing kids—Noah and Amelia—my little dream team and the heart behind everything I do.
